The shoreline between 88th and 96th Street is being restored through the 93 Ocean House Beach project, in partnership with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).
Project Timeline:
Due to weather-related delays, work will continue through January 9, 2026. No work will occur on December 25 or January 1. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Project Details:
Approximately 11,000 cubic yards of beach-quality sand from an upland source will be placed to strengthen the beachfront and support long-term coastal resilience.
What Residents Should Expect:
- Increased truck activity near 88th Street and along the designated staging area on the beach as sand is transported.
- Limited service of beach club furniture at the Community Center due to ongoing work.
We appreciate your patience as this important project helps preserve and protect Surfside’s beautiful beachfront.
